Technical visit of Sensap AG at ficonTEC Service GmbH facility for the implementation of the data flow among the ficonTEC AL500 assembly machine, the external Integra Daedalus CPS System by Sensap and the cloud platform iLike Machines by Holonix

From October 19^th till October 22^nd a technical work meeting took place at ficonTEC Service GmbH in Achim, Germany. The goal of this meeting within WP7||T7.1-Integration of software – hardware platforms and tools, was the implementation of the data flow among the ficonTEC AL500 assembly machine owned by project partner Prima Electro, the external Integra Daedalus CPS System (data acquisition Edge module) by Sensap AG and the cloud platform iLike Machines by Holonix Srl.

This work lies an important milestone in the project as from now on data from internal as well as additional external data sources of the ficonTEC machine can be streamed into the iLike cloud-based industrial IoT monitoring platform. By this the data is made available through secure (authorization and encryption) data channels to all project partners and is usable for the analysis by partners Core Innovation, Brunel University and Politecnico di Milano.

As next step the machine will be transferred to the production site of Prima Electro where it will be installed as one of multiple systems for the high-power laser diode module assembly.

Based on the sophisticated machine learning algorithms analysing the data we expect to improve the yield of the assembly machine as well as reduce the unplanned downtime to a minimum and hence increasing the productivity and reducing the assembly costs.
