On February 3rd – 6th iQonic partners joined at SPIE Photonics West, in San Francisco (USA), to present the project’s activities and most promising results in front of the photonics industry and research community.

SPIE. Photonics West is a global conference and a leading event in the photonics industry and research fields, which this year gathered more than 22.000 attendees to listen to the most cutting-edge discoveries and the latest products and services in the optoelectronics field.

The iQonic Consortium gave a talk about zero defect manufacturing of photonics within the “Smart Photonic and Optoelectronic Integrated Circuits XXII” Conference. Here, Fraunhofer IOF, CORE Innovation, Atlantis Engineering and Sensap presented their paper with the title “Multisensor and closed-loop control of component and assembly processes for zero-defect manufacturing of photonics”. The paper will be published in the SPIE digital library (https://www.spiedigitallibrary.org).

In the words of Erik Beckert, iQonic’s coordinator, “Publishing at Photonics West was a significant opportunity for the iQonic consortium to disseminate the project’s results and to exploit them with new partners“. Moreover, this presentation garned high interest of the attendees to the conference.

In parallel, Brighterwave and Ficontect presented iQonic throughout the PW 2020 exhibition thus meeting more than 200 visitors!

Last but not least, SPIE.Photonics West was also an occasion for charity, indeed, Brighterwave donated 1000 Lambda plush toys to new homes.
